Kanye West - Sunday Service Paris

Kanye West brought his passions for music and fashion together when he and his Sunday Service gospel choir performed at Paris Fashion Week.

On 29 February, it was announced that West was to stage a surprise Sunday Service performance at the biannual fashion event in the French capital.

The musical spectacle, which took place on the morning of Sunday 1 March at the historic Bouffes du Nord theatre, was held a day before West’s Yeezy Season 8 Paris Fashion Week show, which is due to take place on Monday evening.

The special Sunday Service saw West join his gospel choir for just under an hour and a half of singing and dancing, with all the participants dressed in matching beige ensembles.

The rapper first established the Sunday Service Choir in January 2019, during which every Sunday he and a choir would perform a variety of songs, including gospel versions of his own work.

On Christmas Day 2019, the Sunday Service Choir released its debut album, Jesus Is Born.

Several people tweeted enthusiastic reactions in response to the choir’s unexpected appearance at Paris Fashion Week, including one person who said it was the “most authentic show” they had ever seen.

“The fashion people have never been this excited at 9.40am on Sunday morning in Paris,” wrote Vanessa Friedman, fashion director and chief fashion critic at The New York Times.

“Mr West for the most authentic show I’ve ever seen #SundayService,” another person commented.

Debacle - Wealthy Breed

Emerging Canada based, Nigerian gospel artist Wealthy Breed has released a new single tagged: “Debacle”.

Theodora Favoured Wealth Eriyamremu (Wealth-Eriya), popularly known as Wealthy Breed, was born in Benin City, Nigeria, where she spent the first six years of her life. Raised as a preachers’ kid, she moved to new cities a lot in her earlier years, finally settling down in Ottawa, Canada, where she now lives and schools at Carleton University. She grew up in a family of music ministers, dancers and artists in general.
In addition to being a singer, she is also a rapper, dancer, drummer, keyboardist, etc. She received a recognition award from Christ Embassy Church Bowie USA in 2017. She gets her musical inspiration from the likes of Sinach, Ada, Frank Edwards, Limoblaze, Marizu and Teni (the inspiration for the beat of DEBACLE).
The song titled, “Debacle” was written in the heat of the pandemic and nationwide lockdowns in Canada and the other countries of the world. The lyrics of the song were inspired by the series of Your Loveworld sessions held by the President of the Loveworld nation, Rev. Dr Chris Oyakhilome DSc. DD.
In one of the sessions, the spirit of God declared, through the man of God, that Covid-19 and the plans accompanying the ‘pandemic was a Debacle and a Fiasco. Christians all over the world had been praying and are still praying, so we knew that indeed, it was a Debacle and a Fiasco.
The song, ‘Debacle’ inspires and instills boldness in the hearts of believers across the world and eliminates fear. It reminds us that there is absolutely no reason to be scared of the virus and of the plans of the enemy.
